Goddesses & Flowers

Ever since I started reading the book Helen of Troy by Margaret George I've become obsessed with goddesses and flowers. Your prompt is one of these two of your choice!

-OPTIONS-

Goddesses:
1. Persephone
2. Aphrodite
3. Isis
4. Selene
5. Nemesis
6. Rhea
7. Ma'at
8. White Tara
9. Ceres
10. Venus

Flowers:
1. Cherry Blossom
2. Lily (tiger, fire etc)
3. Cornflower
4. Lily of the Valley
5. Lotus
6. Rose
7. Jasmine


-RULES-

1. No bashing
2. No dirty pretty
3. NO RELIGIOUS POEMS!
4. No sticky caps
5. Don't be cliché!
6. Use good and vivid imagery, be passionate, be creative!
7. Enter as many poems/PWs as you want as long as they stick to the topic but they HAVE to be good! I will not commment on badly written poems!
8. No satyrical or poems with humour, I want serious stuff ONLY!
9. If you break the rules I will DQ you, no questions asked!
10. Please use PROPER GRAMMAR!
11. PUT THE OPTION IN YOUR AUTHOR NOTES! If you won't I will DQ you!

    I was a bit disappointed that this contest had less entries than in my previous ones.. but I was very happy with the gold & silver poem. Congrats! I hope you join my future contests as well!

    SILVER - Remembering Selene
    Comment: Selene is also one of my favourite goddesses and I'm glad the poet chose to write about her. Well done!

    can you tell me what 'White Tara' was a Goddess of please? I've found the others, but can't find that one! hope to hear back from you soon. xx

      White Tara, also known for compassion, long life, healing and serenity. As White Tara, she rose from a lotus blooming in the lake that formed from the first tear of compassion of great bodhisattva Avalokiteswara (whose human incarnation is the Dalai Lama), and is considered his consort.
