Crimson Carnage of Lethal Lust

This is my third contest in the series of "Seven Deadly Sins".
Your task here is to use the picture prompt and
the title of the contest to inspire you.

What I'm looking for is:
the personification of this particular sin-LUST.
Make it come to life along with the prompt color.
Give me a poem, which catches the pure essence
of the sin and the effect of the image prompt.

It would give me great joy to see:

Metaphor,
Personification,
Word Play,
Symbology,
Creativity and Insight at work.

Dark is also appropriate for this theme.
Also-tastefully written Erotica and a sensual touch.

However I do not approve of:
Violence, Sadism,
Self mutilation,
Dirty pretty or Preaching.

All the obvious, expected rules apply-
Don't make me DQ!
I really don't want to!

The line limit start at 10 and ends at 40.
I think that this gives enough freedom
for creativity to utilize your talent.

DO NOT use the theme prompt as your title.
DO give proper CREDIT to the artist
if the image is used in your write:

    Glad to see a bit more interest in this one.
    On the other hand, I was disappointed by
    several entries that had nothing to do with
    the theme...a few of these did not merit
    comment, sorry to say.
    On a positive note, I felt the finalists really came through with talent and expressed the prompt vividly. Congrats & my appreciation to all; especially gold which is just an enticing read from top to end!

    how many are we allowed to submit?

    its been eons since I visited this site due to many life travails and I am attempting once again to nourish my soul with words. I think I might have a few that match this image but that will be up to you in your judging of course "wink" either way I just want to get my feet wet and participate again. Ty for offering this type of genre its hard to find at times. Hugs, Dove

      Just one entry per person. It's standard rules and since these are my first contests I would like to stick with them until I get into it. If it ties well with the image and it holds the essence of the image, then by all means enter it. I like what I am doing here as I don't find many contests such as these myself as a whole.
