Maybe this is a little odd, but here goes.
My brother and his wife own two Yorkies, named Pax (Latin for Peace) and Ping (I can't tell you the exact phrase but Ping is part of the sound of the chinese word(s) for Peace).
My brother's birthday is January 16th but I am extending the deadline...hopefully I'll get more entries!
Write a poem about Peace and/or Yorkshire terriers OR about the love one feels for their puppies.
A few simple rules:
Use the words Pax and Ping somewhere in your poem.
Make your entry 24 lines or fewer.
No foul language...remember these are Pups for Peace.

Paw Prints was chosen as Gold for its succinct writing that conveys the love and spiritual aspect of pet ownership.
The Silver trophy goes to The Good Cause because this showed exactly what Pax and Ping do for my brother and his wife.
The Bronze goes to Peaceful Pitbulls for its message of judging each dog (as we should with people) on its own merits.

It would drag up too many heart aches to write for this. I lost my little buddy of 21 years and it felt like losing a forever child.
