    Hello Poets!

As most of you know....the Bear made an embarrassing mistake.....I slid your Trophys down an extra line on my scoring sheet and rewarded the wrong Trophys to the wrong Poets........sooooo.......with that said......I ask for your forgiveness, and please except my apologise for this mistake ~

I felt so bad about this, so I added more HM Trophys to everyone, as it was the least I could do ~

Ok....let's congratulate your Gold Winner for the 2nd week of January 2008!

    *Bear crosses his sharp claws*

With a total of 200 points available, *aboomer* earned a total of 198.4 of them!

    HM 4...193.55
    HM 5...193.1
    HM 6...186.2
    HM 7...185.3

Remember....Focus on your Theme, and bring some IMPACT to your writes ~

My apologise for Judging late....sometimes we do get errands which have to taken care of first....but the PO' contests are meant to be Judged on time every week, as this is POW....not POW 1/2....hehe ~

Thanks to your wonderful Judge Julie, for her time and love of what she does here with all of you great Writers ~

Thanks to everyone who came out to support this contest ~

    ....and remember,

May Your Higher Power & the Power of Your Quill, Alway Be Your Strength ~

    Final Notes:
Whenever the POW is limited to so few entries, it makes me wonder just what kind of quality we’ll end up seeing. But I have to say, there were several great poems this week, any one of which would be worthy and deserving of a gold trophy. The themes may vary widely, but one thing remains constant: good, solid writing with the impact, imagery, and power I look for in a poem.

My thanks to everyone for making this another enjoyable experience for me in judging. Congratulations to our winners, and I hope to see you all again soon in future PO contests! (smiles)

    ~Julie
