Words I just can't say...

This is my second contest. I have these feelings that I can't seem to be able to put into words. They are just dying to be expressed but everytime I put pen to paper, it only comes out in a jumble of words. Eventually I get so frustrated, that I just throw my jumble away. So I am asking you wonderful poets of AP to put into words what I can not. Please look at the options and in the author note, put which feeling/option you chose. If you use more than one, please put all of them in the author's note. I will try to comment all of them. Last time I missed one because I was having computer problems and the poet blocked me. I apologize for that and if I miss yours please let me know. If you took the time to write a poem for my contest, then I can take the time to comment. I have been having computer problems so if I don't comment right away, I promise that I will eventually.

I am allowing Pre-writes because I don't want to miss a great poem. HOWEVER!!! please make sure it relates to the topic and don't forget the option in the author's note. Good luck to you all. I look forward to reading some great poetry.

~~~~~OPTIONS~~~~~~
1. Not being able to express feelings.
**2. A bittersweet love. Being in love but he pushes me away. Doesn't see waht he has.
*3. Bad memories that just won't go away.
***4. Your world falling into chaos and you can't stop it. Wonder how you got here.
5. Burnt out with no motivation. Wanting to move forward but can't.
6. Your changing into a person that you never thought you would become.
7. Missing the innocence.
8. People not seeing you for who you really are.
******RULES******
1. No StIcKy CaPs
2. Must put option
3. No pre writes that don't relate to the topic. I will comment on those but they will NOT be considered in judging.
I was going to start adding to finalist list but I decided that it just wouldn't be fair to already start picking favorites. So I will not do that until later. Also, I will re read through the poems before judging so don't fret if yours is not added to the list right away. Good luck
Contest is Over
  • Contest was judged on January 27, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 2 people
  • Final notes:
    I'm sorry it took me so long to judge this contest. My dad went into the hospital and I had a lot on my mind and couldn't concentrate on reading poetry and I fel it would be unfair to judge with a clouded mind.
    I loved every entry and I wanted to give everyone a trophy. Congrats to the winners. Those poems spoke for me. It was a very hard contest to judge. All were amazing and again I wish everyone could have won. If you didn't win, it doesn't mean your poem was bad. It just didn't say what I was looking for. Thank you all for entering. Keep writing dear poets.
