Teen Idol 7: Round Two [Top 16]

This contest is for the following people only:

[[Metaphormosis]]
Asfand
Rex Roosevelt
Flatline
Dark Whispers
Lucy Sky-Diamond
Tam Lin
Eots
sleepingINblackRain

[[Symbolicosis]]
Karamel Kandy
Olly Olly Oxen Free
Catauthor
Ah.Sosha.
rockerchkpoet
Raazi
She Has My Heart
LostintheShadows33

The 16 of you have been divided into two opposing teams. For this round, even though you are on teams; you will be writing individually. There will be 'face-offs'. Your goal is to beat your opponent. Whichever one of the two opposers has the most points, will score 3 points for his or her team. IF there is a tie, he or she will score 1 point for his or her team. The loser of the face-off will score 0 points for his or her team. The team with the most points at the end wins.

The losing team will lose 2 poets; so by the end of this round we will have 14 remaining.

The 2 poets who scored the lowest on his/her poem will be the two who are eliminated; regardless of whether or not either scored points for their team.

CHALLENGE:
:::If you, in your bare feet, had to cross a bridge covered in burning charcoals in order to get to true love; would you cross it?::::
---If so, how would you cross it? If not, why? What will happen to you? How did you get in the situation in the first place? What are you feeling as you are crossing the bridge? Etc.
Do not tell me why/how/what, etc.
SHOW me why/how/what, etc.
Make me feel it.
You don't have to answer every single one of the questions...you don't even have to answer a question...just use the situation as inspiration.

Think outside of the box [aka ‘be creative’] while still staying relevant to the prompt.

Line limit: 150
Remember:
originality [no cliches],
creativity [metaphor, simile, etc.],
flow,
focus,
passion,
and message- is the key to scoring high.

DEADLINE: Thursday, January 15th. 6PM EST.

Do not wait until the last minute!
Get done ASAP!

Good luck to all. I'm looking forward to another awesome season.

    Eots (15th place overall)

Both of you are very talented. I have enjoyed reading your work in this contest. I ask that both of you please stay in the group, for several reasons. The universal reason: in the event that I would have to bring one of you back into the contest.
If you need anything regarding constructive criticism, comments, or whatever; feel free to IM me and leave me the link. Good luck with everything you do.

This is a really great prompt, but I don't have inspiration right now! I promise I'll get my entry in a day or two.

I added more to it so reread it and hopefully that helps.
I realized what I had before kind of didnt allow much freedom.

And you better enter or i'll have to hire a gangster to come track you down and stab you.

Whew, I found my muse and got my poem in. Mine's a little bit different, but I hope you'll still accept it. Good luck with judging, and... um... Can I stop being stabbed by a gangsta now?

Fudge. Absolute fudge. I've just read all the entries so far and what little hope I had just burnt on that fudging bridge! Gah, they're awesome! How annoying ~~ though very expected.

NO of course I don't, I'm a poet, no poet likes their own work! Actually that's a lie. But still, I'm new to this, I'm allowed to have reservations

Even though we are on opposing teams (this time, maybe there'll be another round if we both get through [fingers crossed] where we are not!) it was nice to meet you and I wish you good luck! (Again, no doubt)

Still here. I started writing on the first day of this contest; I've since written three and a half poems...didn't even finish the last one, it was so lousy.
Anyway, I am still here, and will enter. Could you pleeeeease have a poem gangsta threaten to stab *my* muse, too?

Tyler, I told you that I wouldn't be able to do good.

This is the first time I've been on in forever.
I'll guess I'll try to write now.
    *sigh*

    I knew I shouldn't have entered.
