I hosted a contest like this in December with some great success. I got some amazing poems to read, so I decided to host the same kind of a contest again. Hope it goes as well as the last one, hopefully even better!
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Pick a number between 1 and 100, after checking the available picture numbers below and the poems posted this far (see step 2).
Available pictures:
015 018
022 023 025 - 026 029
031 032 034 035 036 037 - 038 039
041 042 - 043 044 046
051 052 053 054 055 056 057 058 059 060
061 062 063 064 065 066 067 068 069
073 074 076 079
081 082 083 084 085 086 087 089 090
091 092 094 095 097 098
2. Reserve a spot/picture in this contest by opening a new empty poem, with the PICTURE NUMBER and your allpoetry.com USERNAME as the topic (for example: 001 USERNAME). I will then IM you the link to the picture you chose as soon as I humanly can. As soon as I send you the picture, I will edit the available pictures-list so there wont be any mistakes on this one! Remember to add your username to the post because I can't hold open contests (I can't see usernames) and therefore don't know who to send the picture link to!
3. Write me a poem inspired by the picture and wish yourself some good luck in the contest! If you use the picture in your poem, also remember to credit them properly.
You can enter up to three poems for this contest by this same method, but you can reserve a new number only after you have written a poem to the previous picture granted to you. If the picture doesnt speak anything to you, you can change it by contacting me directly.
Dont worry; this really isnt as difficult as it sounds!
This contest will be open all of January and will close February 1st. It will be judged January 3rd the latest.

PS. In the previous contest I had some problems sending messages to some people. I sent them the picture (I actually checked it form my sent messages) but they never reached their goal. So, if you haven't received a picture in 3 days after you submitted your request, contact me directly and I'll send it again.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on February 3, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 300, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Wuah! Another tough contest to judge. I'm just now starting to notice how many wonderful poets there are in allpoetry. Every time I've held a contest this far I've got new people sending new poems for me to read and I love them all. You all did a wonderful job; some better than others of course. But you can all be proud of yourselves!
I picked the winners, again, based on the way the poems touched me. That's the most important thing for me when I read poetry; how it fits my taste and how it touches me. The winners are those that touched me the most, through emotions or through the writer's skills, and I want to congratulate you for that. It's not the easiest thing to do, I assure you.
Thank you all for taking part of this contest and making it an interesting one for me!
