- please do not try to write a "Leonard Cohen" poem, rather be inspired to write
from your own voice with his passion as a lamp but use your heart as the guide
and your life experience as the map.
prizes:
GOLD receives two of Leonard Cohen's CD's: Ten New Songs & I'm Your Man
SILVER receives one of Leonard Cohen's CD's: New Skin for the Old Ceremony
BRONZE receives one of Leonard Cohen's CD's: Songs of Love & Hate
International poets may enter since the postage on a CD is much less than a book.
I got an iPod for Christmas, so I am cleaning out the CD's and I am happy to share
my Leonard with you....plus I am dying to read great poetry and I know there are
writers on this site that can blow Mr. Cohen's mind when they put their effor to it,
so that is the ultimate task, the big challenge...
- if you have not read Leonard Cohen or heard his audio collections
then please read some of it before writing for the contest
- in author's comments write the title of your favorite Leonard Cohen poem
- quality and good sportmanship are important in this contest

This is great, great like Leonard Cohen's poetry and music. I just asked my mother the other day what happened to my old Leonard Cohen LP's and she told me they're in a box somewhere on the farm... so I need to get them - and be transported again to that far and deep place...

Sometimes inspiration is quick. We always need a "quickie" now and then, don't we?

I am not sure if I have read any of his work. I will this weekend. Hopefully, I'll be able to enter something before this contest ends.

Thankyou for posting this contest Zayra. I was unfamiliar with Leonard Cohen so went to find his words and oh my, was it my pleasure! So,thankyou for yet more joy you have introduced to me. Am unsure if able to enter but wish you luck with the contest and also, though late, a happy, healthy and harmonious New Year,
love and light,
