~*~HAPPY NEW YEARS~*~
As the sound of big ben chimes and the mass production of fireworks are set of my thoughts escalate not back through the past but through a different series of thoughts.
About how many children are sitting up excitedly waiting for the minute of 12 to strike and there birthday to begin.
How many mothers and farthers to be are sitting in a hospital as a new form of life is born.
How many people are sitting home wishing that someone who has passed could be there with them,
And how many people are spending it alone....with no one to hug on that magic chime.
Of course I look at the good things too, but for this competition I want you to write a poem about your thoughts as the hands reached 12.
What was running through your mind?
How did you feel?
I will be closing this in two days and the points will increase as I see fit.
Happy New years to the UK where it has just hit (00.12am in the uk).
Happy new years to those in australier who had it about 10 1/2 hours ago.
And happy new years to those still waiting I know some people in america havelike 5-8 hours to go.
I hope this year brings you smiles and joys and offer you hugs and love.
