Contest Contest for many types of poems, Prewrites allowed. by Systems Malfunction

Alright. I deleted my old contest on account of the lack of entries. Let me say this, guys and gals on here; don't get lazy in writing. Prewrites are nice (and sometimes new too), but fresh writes are best for contests (at least mine). Anyways, all writes are allowed. I will be quicker to judge prewrites than fresh writes, but each has a chance to win!

I want writes particularly in the dark, love, sad, hopeful, and like categories. If you can fit those, you can enter. Any questions feel free to message or comment on here.

Rules:

1. Do your best. No lazy writes (IE: Litered with cliches, poor grammar/spelling, nothing new in terms of imagery and what not, etc)

2. Profanity is okay as long as its used tastefully. Don't kill some of the best words in the world. haha.

3. If you know of the bands Coheed and Cambria or Nightwish and take inspiration from them write it in your notes.

4. Not necessary, but its courteous. Comment each other. Comment me on anything and get bonus points ;-)

5. Any type of form is fine with me.

6. Dont type like "DiSaDF4Fga"

7. No overly descriptive darkness. Theres a fine line that is okay for everyone to read and on the other side a poem crosses into just sadistic.

7. I will disqualify without warning if any rules are broken. They're simple rules, don't murder them.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on January 30, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 100
  • Final notes:
This was a good contest. ALOT of entries. I kind of slacked in the end cause there were so many, too many for me to handle. I did my best to read as many as possible and also comment. Its obvious commenting kind of stopped near the end also. Congrats to the winners.

Sorry I didn't put in a fresh write, though I did do a lot of editing and spiffying up, not trying to be too lazy! This was a difficult poem for me, hope you enjoy it.
