For those of you that choose your words by the ear, this challenge is for you.
I want to read poems that are rich in sound manipulations, by that, I mean assonance, consonance and alliteration.
Please use these techniques wisely. I should not be distracted by the use. I personally dislike the stuttering sound of predominantly alliterated work (peter piper picked a peck of pickled peppers).
Use them to propel and compel me and you stand a very good chance. Quality pieces containing all three will likely win favor.
Pre-writes are accepted but I reserve the right to remove any poem that is not in compliance with the topic of the contest and/or does not follow these rules:
No violent content
No needless cussing
No sticky caps
One entry per person
If you're unfamiliar with the techniques but want to try it, here are the definitions:
alliteration: Use of the same consonant at the beginning of each stressed syllable in a line of verse
My example: fork, flower, fish, farm, finger (note "f" a the beginning of each word)
assonance: The repetition of similar vowels in the stressed syllables of successive words
My example: oil, choice, moist, void (note "oi" vowel combination in each word)
consonance: The repetition of consonants (or consonant patterns) especially at the ends of words
My example: harm, form, worm, storm (note "rm" consonant blend at the end of each word)
Any questions, send me an IM or ask in the comment section.

Thank you
for your time, and thank you for giving me a cup! My stuff is usually to weird to win contests, so I'm glad you liked it.
