This year I have really realized that this season is NOT about spending money on gifts and all the extravagances that come with Christmas. This season is about love, faith, devotion, and thankfulness.
In this contest, I want you to write a priceless gift that you will actually give as a gift this Christmas. You can write a poem, story, memoir, or a letter. But it must be a piece of writing you will give as a gift. You can add an original graphic or illustration to your writing piece for extra points.
Please give a priceless gift of writing to the people in your life you love and cherish.
Just to clarify....this gift can be to an AP friend but my first thought was that it would be to the real live people in your life and that you would give them your writing on Christmas Day!
The rules are simple:
No profanity
No prewrites
Spell-check (I will im edits)
G-rated
No Christian bashing please

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 26, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 300, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 12 people
- Final notes: Thank you all for sharing your beautiful gifts. They are truly priceless. I hope that you all gave these gifts of love and gratitude to your loved ones.
The gold winner "Raven Haired Boy" by aslanlight has some of the most touching lines I have ever read:
"I wonder if God
Took a portion
Of the ashes of me
To sculpt you
So something as pure as
Silver fresh water
Would remain when I fly"
Please read each others poems. They are powerful and will bless you.
Thank you all for entering and my best wishes for a very joyous and prosperous 2008.
Love and hugs - joanne
