HAPPY CONTEST. My first contest only 1 rule! must rhyme.

Hi everyone,

As you can tell form the title this is my first contest. I’m quite nervous but quite exited at the same time so go gentle on me (haha).

Basically is it my birthday this weekend and i wanted my first contest to be something I remember and as you can tell from the title I want it to be happy happy happy poetry. Please no slitting of wrists or suicide etc....!!!!!!!!

Now I have a few categories I would like you to pick from but they are really general topics and no one should have a problem picking one!:

1) Love - between friends/family/animal (absolutely anything)
2) Something that makes you happy - either person or object etc....
3) A time when you have been proud
4) Death - but do not write it in a morbid way PLEASE!
5) Celebration times! - like christmas/birthday
6)Memorable moment
7) Speaking about life.

Please tell me which number you pick please.

***Rules***

Now I do not have any rules for this contest besides from one you must write in rhyme!! I love a poem with a good flow and that is my preferred style.

I am not giving this contest anymore rules as rules are there to be broken!!

I want everyone to let there imaginations run wild and have fun! Points will go higher if I believe it is deserved.

Love and peace Kirsty xXx

First of all most poetry that I have read on here about death is morbid so that is a very unfair option to many writers

yes most poetry about death is morbid! but it doesnt have to be! i understand, after being through losing loved ones myself, that death is a very horrible and traumatising experience however if you read one person poem in my contest she has spoke about death but not in morbid horrible way!! Expressing it as death is the start of a new life! so maybe most poetry about death is morbid but a small percent is not!! and that small percent are the ones i want to enter in this contest.
