Alright boys and girls it's time for a third contest. Anyone who knows me well knows I'm a bit of a card loving weirdo. This one is a pretty obvious choice for me, but since I've never written anything card related... I'd like to see what you guys come up with.
Rules :
1) You can write about ANYTHING inspired by playing cards you like. Some ideas are listed below, use 'em if you like... or not.
2) You can typo all you want, but I will notice... and it will cost you
3) Rhyme or don't rhyme, but know that I'm reaaally impressed by brilliant rhyming, and really bothered by bad rhyming.
4) Pre-writes are absolutely allowed... but stay on topic. Last time I got bombarded by ones that barely fit the profile.
Ideas :
- Write about the history of playing cards
- Write about card magic, a magician, or a magician's philosophy
- Write about four kingdoms, each inspired by a suit
- Write about a legendary gambler
- Write any card related metaphor
- Write about the ace of spades, its use in history, or some made up history about it.
- ... or anything else that comes to mind
As you can see, I'm pretty flexible about all this. I will also close the contest if there is a real lack of interest, although that's never really been a problem in the past. Take your time with this one guys, good luck!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on January 13, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 650, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Nice work all around guys. Sorry it took so long between the closing of the contest and the judging... but I did comment on each entry because of this. I hope you all agree with my judging and comments... If you do not, you're welcome to chat with me (or pick a fight with me) in a PM. I don't know what the next contest will be, but it will probably revolve around unfinished scraps, where I will toss out a bunch of ideas I had but never used, and see what people can create with them... it will be worth a similar amount of points to this contest... or perhaps more.
