Sorry to say but I have been very disappointed with the quality of entries in my most recent run of contests so IF you decide to enter this dig deep. If you don't I will DQ you. Please don't waste my time or yours. Sorry if I sound bitchy but come on people, you are poets, write me something wonderful.

- Final notes: As most of you know, yes this is my daughter, my inspiration, my light in the darkness. i love to use her pictures for contests because she has many different looks and every one of them tells a story. i love what you guys got from this one
there were so many wonderful entries here but alas i can only give three trophies. again, i added HM's because you did such a great job that many more than the top 3 deserved recognition. please if you didn't win anything in this contest don't think i didn't think your poems were good because so many of them were, you each brought your own interpretation
as always, these poems will get printed out and put in the binder of so many other poems written for my daughter's pictures, she just loves you guys writing such great poems too
Again I went with the writes that touched my heart the most or that said things i couldn't say myself

A mom has to look after her daughter's best interests
No I wasn't really, that would have been her dad if he would have been man enough to stay in her life, so sad considering he was her hero and he adored her until that incident 3 years ago 
No, I was the one educating her of acceptable and unacceptable behavior and of course putting a list of certain young men in their places along the way. Plus her older brothers scared off a few Nah, she's a good kid, has a good head on her shoulders. Only thing I don't like is when the older ones look her way, I'll tear some heads off if I have to
