All right, for you Marilyn Manson loonies out there, this still isn't quite the contest for you. What I want from this contest is fairly simple--I want you to tell me (poetically, of course) about being a good person for the sake of doing good in the world, NOT because you'll get into heaven or get special treatment. Write about doing something kind for someone or something even though you'll never be recognised or repaid for it. I'm not religious, and I find that all the contests this season are either "Why I'm not loved", "Celebrate God" or "Yay!!! CHRISTMAS!!! BAOGHIOAHGO!!!". So yeah. It doesn't have to be happy, nessisarily, and it doesn't have to be optimistic--just being a good person because it's the right thing to do.
Rules:
-No chat speak
-Prewrites are allowed, but they have to adhere strictly to the contest
-Don't bother talking about God--we're not on speaking terms right now
-Suicide/self mutilation/erotica is allowed, but it has to still fit the contest and I'm not sure how exactly you'd do it
-If I think it doesn't fit, then I'll DQ.
-If I ask a question, respond as soon as you can, don't wait for the contest to be over. I want to understand the writing, I don't care about your username
-There are several days when I can't get to a computer, so don't expect a comment on your poem as soon as you post it, but I promise I will comment on everybody's entries.

Like the mandate of the contest,I don't believe being a good samaritan is intrinsicly part of Christianity per se but an inherent part of being human and being humane.Good luck with the contest
