snowflakes and icicles and numb little hands

Specifics

1. The poem has to be between 12 lines and 30 lines.

2. Must have at least one character within the poem. The character may be human, personified object or animal. The character may not be a mystical creature or a snowflake.

3. Must have a winter theme but can not be solely about winter, snow or the holiday season.

4. Must mention the color blue.

suggestions

I don't believe I have awarded a rhyming poem with a trophy in years now. I'm sure that isn't going to change with this contest. If you must rhyme then I can not stop you. Let's pray you are good enough not to make me go lay out naked in a blizzard.

If you do not include the 4 specifics above you had better be good enough for me not to notice.

Spell check.

Oh-- and have fun.

If you decide to complain to me about hindering poets with specifics... please do so. I enjoy laughing.

I thought about holding a horribly stringent contest with a crazy amount of rules, regulations and such... but figured most people would just wuss out on me.

      Poets are such lazy creatures.

      Did they do it?

I was once dared to dance naked under the moon. It was a bit nipply that night... teeheehee.

I don't think I'll play in the snow naked, though.

LOL Perhaps. Even with my more militant "This is exactly what I don't want" contests people enter god-awful crap that my cat would be embarrassed to write...

My hope is that decent writers will understand and not ride mystical creatures beneath the gentle snowfall.

Hope you can make it back. Meli misses you...
