I am always grateful when snow finally comes to cover our seasons of sin. The green goes and the brown lays down its heart and what do we see? We see garbage and dust and grime where once the green grew. I always feel like snow covers our seasons' of sins.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 7, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 400, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 1 people
- Final notes: I set myself up a bit in this contest, I realize.
Some thoughts:
"Guilt," according to Nietzsche, originally meant simply that a debt needed to be paid.
I believe the way we remove the buildup of callousness or hardness in the soul for being mean, being cruel to each other and nature, is to spend our time making up for that by” works” in order to avoid guilt's nasty relative: Shame.
If we would only learn that we should not be leaving our garbage ( physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual) to sully Mother Earth, then we would not have to worry about it showing up after that thaw of that which hid it from us for a time so we could learn to do something about it.
Only we can undo what we have done… it is not up to anyone else.
thank you all.. I meant this to be a practical expression of pollution... and it is not at all meant to cause dispair...but to offer hope that we can undo what we have done...
ty all for entering... I do believe in hope... I do.
otherwise I would go and feel hopeless, or move into fantasy to make myself feel better, and be stuck in that apathy or fantasy
