It's Impossible

Okay you guys. I am COMPLETELY uninspired and it is driving me effing CRAZY!!!! I can't write ANYTHING! I feel like I'm going to explode if I don't write. So please, guys, I'm begging you....inspire me.

Some tips:

I love descriptive language. I don't like dirty/pretty glam-glitter shit - overdone, not glamorous - sorry dolls, just the truth. I like outside of the box. I've been feeling kinky lately, so take that as you will. I love heartbreak, I love happiness, I love different ways of looking at the world. I love intensity but I don't like dramatics.

I said that you can submit a pre-written poem, but I'd prefer some fresh stuff. I want to pick up on the general vibes of the universe in this moment. haha, sad thing is, I'm totally not joking.

Those are just tips to help me love you/your poetry. Goodness guys - I'm fucked.

Heyya pretty lady. I've got twenty-five minutes before I tutor math, and ninety minutes before I get shitfaced. Somewhere in there, I'll pull out some poetry for you.

We should talk more. I hope life is lovely.

Whenever I feel uninspired I try to look at things from a different point of view. Sometimes I stand on my head and that works. Of course, I suppose I'm a little strange. Anyhow, I hope you have a nice day.

If you are suffering from writers' block... PLease do not force it! You are very lucky!!!! Your subconscious mind is telling you that your creative powers are completely "flat" - like a battery that needs recharging, and consequently, whatever you turn out now will be far below your potential best... However, my advice to you - unless you are compelled to write for a living - is to make a clear decision NOT to attempt to write, and NOT to read anything more than the banalities necessary for survival (e.g business correspondence, newspapers, etc) for a week... while at the same time refreshing yourself with whatever does refresh you - other than reading... music, sport, whatever... Stick to this faithfully for a week, and the urge to write may well return...

If not, then settle down to do some overdue chore - sorting your income tax, cleaning out the cellar, whatever... provided it is long and not very pleasant... The desire to write may well burst through before you are finished .. and if not, at least the overdue chore will be done!

If you DO have to write for a living...( well, as I expect you have been advised before unless you have a deadline this very day... first have a good night's sleep (preceded by an appropriate soporific drink... tiredness is one great cause of "block") - then gather up ALL your unpaid bills, pin them up where you see them every time you look up from your desk, and sit down vowing to stay at your desk for 8 hours with only minimal "comfort breaks" and not more than half-an-hour for lunch, and start putting SOMETHING down on the screen, no matter what... Remember - you do NOT have to produce your "best"... simply something good enough to satisfy your editor and publisher...Just keep thinking of those unpaid bills till the 8 hour stint is done... then forget the bills until tomorrow and spend the evening doing something not related to writing - and then again a soporific drink and a good night's sleep... and continue until back to normal...
If you DO have a deadline this very day... then cut out the first sleep!
