This is the second of these contests I've run and the first was so much fun I thought I'd give it another try. The rules of this contest are simple.
1) If you wish to enter, you send me an IM.
2) I, in turn, send you one word. ( I will get back to you so please allow me time as I work )
3) Your challenge is to write me a poem about the word I send you. The word must be included in the title of your work and may or may not be included in the body of your piece but the poem has to reflect the feeling/impression that one word creates for you.
4) One entry per person
5) No Prewrites
6) ONE ADDITIONAL RULE: If you are having a problem writing with the word I first gave you I will allow you to exchange it once but if you chose to do so you must use the second word I IM you and can not use the original word.
You pick the style and length. Simple enough
1st place 300 points and a lovely gold trophy
2nd place 200 points and a shiny silver trophy
3rd place 100 points and a dull bronze trophy
There will also be 3 honorable mentions.
If you IM me for a word, please make sure to get your entries in as soon as possible as this contest will close after 30 entries.

- Final notes: Thank you everyone for your entries. Judging as always wasn't easy. First place was a given but second through fourth were tossed back and forth several times before coming to my final decision. Several spots that were reserved were removed from the contest as they never compleated their poem and several people did not follow the rules with the word in the title even after being given the chance to do so. Overall a great contest. Be sure to look for another of these after the holidays
