If there were not wierd people like me, who would make you look normal? Round 1!

Bright Blessings Dearest Poets!!!! Searching through the nearly endless array of contest you have managed to yet again wonder into another rounds contest by none other than Me!!! (Oh and Nephalaneous lover, *huggles*) Ok so this rounds contest is going to be a lot of fun and points may be added depending on the number of entries I receive as well as the quality. There will be three rounds, each round becoming more challenging. If you are not planning on entering future rounds should you be chosen to move on, do not enter this round. Rounds and points are as follows:

Round 1:
Gold 300 points
Silver 150 points
Bronze 75 points
HM 17
These 20 people will move on to round 2.

Round 2:
Gold 400 points
Silver 200 points
Bronze 100 points
HM 7
These 10 people will move on to round 3.

Round 3:
Gold 1055 points
One winner one huge reward!

If there are not enough entries worthy of moving on in the first round it will either be extended until there are enough entries or some of the HM trophies will be removed. You can enter as many times as you like!
Ok so lets get started with your options.

1) Ok every time you see a movie with the devil he always has a plethora of minions. How do you suppose you get a job such as this? Well my theory is that when you sell your soul to the devil in life for your wildest dreams to come true, you are always told (or at least in the movies, no personal experience here) that you must serve an eternity in hell. Do you literally have to “serve” in hell? Write what you think or how your eternity of servitude would be.

2) There is a new show that started this season called Pushing Daisies which some of you may be familiar with, so this one is for you, or anyone for that matter. In this show this man has a very terrible gift, with one touch of his finger he can bring you back from the dead, then touch you again and you die again. The only catch is if you are dead you have one minute before he must touch you again or someone else will die, after you have been “killed” by this man he cannot bring you back again. He brings back his childhood sweet heart and allows her to live. They fall in love and begin a relationship with each other, but can never touch.

So your prompt is “If you were in love with me and could never touch me, could never hold me, could never make love to me, could never touch my face or kiss me what would you do?”

3) I am sure most of us know the nursery rhyme “Rock-a-by-baby”. If not here is a refreshers course the whole thing is about placing a baby in a cradle on a treetop, then the wind starts to blow and a branch breaks, then baby and cradle fall! Morbid eh? People actually sing this to babies thinking this will help them sleep! I do not want verses changed, I do not want the song written out then one word changed, do not make this happy or completely horrific. Write a completely new piece with this nursery rhyme as your prompt. I want it to be dark and beautiful. It does not have to rhyme and does not require the same flow or structure, but be amazing! Oh and nothing completely disgusting either!

4) Quote Prompt “How happy is the blameless vestal's lot!
The world forgetting, by the world forgot.
Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind!
Each pray'r accepted, and each wish resign'd.” Alexander Pope

5) Write a poem about your secret ambition. Everyone has a secret ambition they wish they can fulfill, be it your still child hood dream of growing up to be a cat or your wish to become a photographer for some not so reputable tabloid. Tell me about it.

6) POV! The life in the day of a snowman!

7) Bare your soul. I want to see it all as you do. Give me something heart wrenchingly beautiful. Give me meaning, give me great joy and sorrow all at the same time, show it all. No love poems, nothing cliché or religious either, I want actually pouring out souls, I want life meaning and revelations, I want earths striking beauty found with in, make my heart ache at the beauty of it all, make me cry.

8) Song Inspired: 2 choices, one band…Blue October: “Into The Ocean”, or, “Hate Me”
Link Into The Ocean http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/blueoctober/intotheocean.html
Link Hate Me http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/blueoctober/hateme.html

9) Prompt: use one quote by opaqueangel (All poetry member) (me)
Prompt: “The willow stands solitary in the courtyard for a life time of aesthetic servitude.”
Prompt: “Simplicity can be found even in the very depths of life’s complications, for the horizon may seem unreachable, yet the sun still rises in it‘s midst.”

10) Picture Prompt, Pick only one

d) http://serendip.brynmawr.edu/bb/berman/images/Isle%20of%20Alone%20Soul.jpg

Ok so those are the 10 options, I think that there is a wide enough selection that almost anyone can enter. Now for a couple quick rules:

1) No erotic, sensual is fine though, no domestic abuse, cutting, suicide or dirty pretty.
2) All poems must be on topic, option number in authors notes and if picture chosen letter assigned as well as number.
3) Nothing longer than 75 lines.
4) You must follow all rules. I reserve the right to dq anyone at any time for any reason, not that I will unless you don’t follow the rules.

Alright so get to it and have fun! Good luck!
Oh also I would like to encourage you to send the link of this contest to all those who are considered to be your friends and family here on AP, I would like to receive as many entries as possible and there are so many contests out there, besides wouldn’t it be fun to all do something together? Thanks!

Alright I just have a small update for you....Recently someone enterd this contest that for some reason had both the other judge and me blocked. This entery was therefore removed! If you have either myself or the other judge for this contest blocked your entery will be removed because it is not very nice to block people who don't even know you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks.

I LOVE your options, they're great. That show "Pushing Daisies" sounds really good...and the idea behind it even better.

That Alexander Pope quote I know very well for I love the film Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, did an essay on it for Film Studies and put that quote at the top hehe

Good luck with your contest and take care x
