Hello kids~ I have many issues and mood disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder, Panic Disorder, Suicidal Depression. 2 years ago I attempted suicide by overdose and after I lived through it felt stronger and reborn in a way. I have since relapsed and am back on different meds and seeking help. Now this contest is about that. Suicide, Mental Disorders, Depression, Anxiety, being placed in a Mental Ward, Pills, a sick downward spiral into self-destruction. I want pain, real experiences, tear it from your soul and put that anguish into words. It is a difficult thing to go through and an uphill climb that some never make. The book "virgin Suicides" left so much mystery. But it is there. A real thing not to be tucked away and buried until it kills you. So I plead let it out in this contest! May the best poet win

- Final notes: I was astonished at the many amazing writes that flooded in. So many covered in emotions and I can relate. I chose the ones that spoke best to me but know you all were great. I hope we all find that magic cure that doctors don't have yet. I'll keep popping pills, piecing together the puzzle that is me and hope in the end I find that silver lining to this cloud called life.

wow...yes i will adimit that some dont really have all the problems that they claim but others do and it honestly does help to let it out... you cannot just go around accusing people of beig fake if you have never met them or got inside their mind... so bungle until you even know all about some one you need to get over yourself oh yeah....Haunted Doll I like the name I like that band alot!!

why let the attention seeking get to you? it's all poetry....
I dunno, I've got a story of my own, and if I didn't feel like poetry is in a downward spiral i would share, but right now, things are uneasy and talking about my past is over, I'm moving forward, but my poetry has almost always been directed in this direction, so I admire others who can really put the emotion into it... real experiences shake you up... that's why i dont want to get into it i dont want it to shake me up just reading it over. But I like this contest, definatly is a way to call people to get out the emotions, i just hope it's not encouraging them. I like this contest, and to go with the comment from bungle, yes some people fake it, but wtf wanna bes? ive seen great poets with perfect lives that can write some really gruesome poems. poetry isn't all personal! But although i agree that is usually the best kind, and that is what is for thsi contest, but i just wanted to say.... wanna bes? I mean come on, go make fun of someone for attention, but wannabes? anyway the attention thing is just as much a sickness as... well not quite, i would disagree that the attention thing could be like some of these things, but i dont know... i know bipolar depressive and ptsd, and other things im not gonna bother sharing definatly are real. but that we should allow all poetry, ficional or not, it's an expression no matter how lame that sounds.

but in a way i always did have a huge anger almost agression toward people who faked it, especially when you have the real deal. but its just part of life. and unless they are throwing in your face and completelyyyyyyyyyy over doing it, than ya ist ok for you to share your frustraion, but just because she shared something with the contest as an example for people to write, sooooooo what? -
It is a shame that not all were commented on. As a host I make it my job to do just that, in appreciation of their efforts.
