I just won Penman's Holiday Quickie Contest
and I am paying it forward with a contest of my own.
So this is a holiday contest,
but I do not want any mention
of snow or cold weather.
Because I live near Los Angeles
and while we had a bumload of rain today,
we don't get snow.
so think along the lines of Christmas at the beach,
or something that us stereotypical Californian's might do.
You may have ten lines, more or less
Ten entries will be allowed,
this will be judged during the weekend.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 2, 2007

I can't even think of another Christmas without snow
I miss snow and I want snow damn it!!!! Wow, talked to my son in Wisconsin this afternoon, it was around 10 degrees and they are expecting snow tomorrow, 8 inches by tomorrow night
It's so depressing to have 50-60 degree winters and Christmas, just doesn't seem normal after living in Ohio for 46 years

I sympathize ...
we're getting an ice storm right now, but I'd rather have snow. They say we will have an inch or so after the ice quits, but that will make driviing a little too treacherous. Still, I couldn't imagine wanting to live anywhere there wasn't a chance of a white Christmas. I'm listening to Elvis sing "Silver Bells" right now, and looking out the window it's pristine white. No cars are moving anywhere. Anyway, happy holidays.
