Let The Snow Inspire...

(picture 1)

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Please make sure to check back from time to time after you submit your entry. There may be a notice of corrections or editing that may need to be done. It would be a shame if you are disqualified because you didn't do this.

Before submitting your poem, please ask yourself the following:

• Does this meet closely with the requirements of the contest?

• Did you go over the poem and check for any grammatical or typographical errors?

Hint: read the Frost poem out loud at least once

Read it out loud and read it out loud again. Recite it if you can. Recite it with your eyes closed.

Then go for a walk in the snow and think nothing. Think no thing.

The words may come to you.

    Believe that.

Good showing so far people, thanks for entering

This is maybe my third contest as judge on the greeter team. I feel honoured to be able to read and share this wonderful talent that comes from so many of our new members. Thank you all those of you who entered and those of you who are reading and leaving thoughtful and helpful criticism or commentary. Happy New Year!

I will continue judging tomorrow early on SAturday. Our decisions are due tomorrow I think. I also have a contest to judge as member of another group, so please bear with me people. (lol)
