Prompt: gender
You can do anything with this. Write a sexist poem if you want
A feminist poem. A poem about what it's like to be a man or a woman. A heterosexual love poem, a homosexual love poem, an abstract love poem where you play with expectations. These are just ideas
But as long as you're inspired by the prompt
Rules
1) Check spelling. No sticky caps (not that anyone does that). If there are funny spellings for a reason- tell me in author's notes and I won't penalise you, if you can't be bothered checking I will.
2) No prewrites. You're basing it off the prompt
3) Use the prompt. That's what it's there for.
4) (This might be challenging)= 30 words or less
5) The prompt might inspire erotica. That's fine. Just label it as 'erotica' 'adult' or 'adult humor'. Ideally- if you're writing something about that hot piece of stuff you met one night it's an 'erotica', if you're writing a poem about love but it goes into sensual then it's 'adult' and if you're writing a joke about penis size or breast size or how you can't get a lover then it's 'adult humor'. (I'm British just not sure if 'adult humour' blocks for the younger audience so use 'humor' to be on the safe side even if you're not American
)
6) One poem per person.

- Contest was judged on December 14, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 220
- Final notes: Thanks for entering. I was right about the 30 word thing- it was challenging Some entries were disqualified because they didn't do the rule, so well done to everyone who did obey it Well done to the winners as well This was a good contest with a wide range of different topics so I'm glad the prompt inspired people in lots of different ways.
