I have a novel heavy with culture. Something like a Huckleberry Finn- Tom Saywer book. It is about growing up poor in KY during the 1950's. Fiction/fanasty with a ghost point of view.
I wish you'd accept novels in this contest.
Mine starts with Christmas in the Hills. Anyway have fun in the contest and be blessed.
Smile,

This is really a good idea
-

isn't it ?

This is nice... our prayer group has a book out. I think it is wonderful. It is spiritual, and of course it praises the Lord. I don't like the word "religious", but I guess that is what most would call it. Not what you are looking for, but I wish you the best in your contest.
Sam

-
hello sam,
I am happy to hear about your published collab-book ... congratulations ! even if I am not specially looking for religious poetry, I would still be delighted to discover your book ... I am sure that many other readers would rejoice to find your book ... it would be good if you could share your collective creation with us through and entry ...
all the best,

My book
Nutty Naughty Nonsense...is not spirtual, not meaningful and not about nature ..unless of course, Delbur the dung beetle is considered to be nature
hey good luck with this, fabulous idea
galfalfa
-
-
I love your humour ...

your book sounds really cool and creative ... you can always leave a link to it in your comment (if delbur the dung beetle is not too naughty
) ...
-
-
a tad too naughty
Delbur Pyle excerpt..dont have a link available since i deleted all my poems that are published in the book off the net, only have hard copies.
If you scroll down this amazon page you will see an excerpt..
http://www.amazon.ca/exec/obidos/ASIN/1413777562/qid=1140916845/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_0_1/702-4644983-8788848
too suggestively naughty in some for sure but i do appreciate your willingness to have a look see
Good luck with your contest...i've a close friend who's children's books are superb, will pass the link on to him for this contest. Only problem is he's a free member so his tools in creativity will be limited in designing a page.

I do not understand why you have added the clause that "prewritten poems are not allowed" Is this a mistake? It does not seem appropriate for this competition.
-
-
thanks for the advice, you are right ...
I will change it ...

haiku
hi! you may not be interested, because i live in australia but i have had a book of haiku published by a small press publishing house called Flat Chat Press.
it may not be meaningful or soulful and it doesn't have overt metaphors because it's haiku - but it does contain vivid imagery.
good luck in your quest,
myron -
-
oh I love haiku - maybe I should include it in the rules ...
please consider entering, I am sure that I won't be the only one to be delighted to discover your haiku-collection ... any way of finding your book at amazon ?

Merry Christmas & a prosperous, serene New Year to us all. Be well, Poets & Scribes.
