Hello all...
My points seem to be multiplying all by themselves! And of course, the best way to cull them is to host a contest...
In this contest I would like you to write about the journey made by Theseus to Minos. Don't just retell the myth... make it your own...
You can write about any aspect of the trip - the killing of the minotaur; the betrayal (or was it) of Ariadne; the return home... anything you like... from any perspective you like...
But it has to be good... it has to stick to the myth (if you add faries and unicorns; demons and devils or anything else along those lines you will be disqualified)... it has to add something new and interesting... and it has to appeal to me (which I think is fair, I am the judge).
Honourable mentions will be added depending on the amount of entries I receive.
To have a chance at winning this contest, please observe the following simple rules:
1. Erotica is fine.
2. Swearing is alright… however please don't go overboard.
3. If you choose to write in chat lingo or sticky caps then that is up to you… but I warn you that it does detract from the poem, and therefore lowers your chance of winning.
4. Please use spell-check - this is important... it detracts from the poem if I have to stop at every second line for them - this includes titles.
5. There are no limits on how many times you can enter… prewrites are allowed - provided that they relate to what is asked of you, I will remove them if they don't.
6. Although commenting on others work is nice, it isn't a pre-requisite for entering this contest - bashing other poets will get you disqualified.
7. Poetry can be in any form - as long as it is poetry.
8. I have a new pet hate... the one thing I cannot stand when reading poetry... people that get 'your' and 'you're' mixed up. If you do this I will remove your poem from this contest without warning.
I hope to see some wonderfully creative poetry!
