Give me Five...

GIVE ME FIVE...

I noticed the passing of a small milestone in my time on AP, and so a contest to note the occassion:

Give Me Five lines or more of verse [five-25 a good rule of thumb]

Free verse preferred- looking for imagery and use of poetic devices and but also individual styles- your unique way of expression is welcomed here.

End rhyme welcome - but looked at carefully-

Five prizes [ more as deserved]

FEEL FREE TO RESERVE A SPOT AND COMPLETE LATER...

PROMPTS:

Photo/art above "El Capitan"  by David Meunsch
or any of the five word prompts below:

1. "To be alone is to be different, to be different is to be alone."
-Suzanne Gordon

2. A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him. -David Brink

3. Only passions, great passions, can elevate the soul to great things.
-Denis Diderot

4. “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
-Marianne Williamson, Return to Love, 1992

5. “No one can afford to throw away a penny. If they can they should give it to charity”
