Ok, this is a series of contest I have began holding...NOT rounds....just a series. You dont have to join, or win, every one.
All the contest will be on a designated Mythical creature (hinted in the specific title and picture, which may be used for inspiration)...and anything goes, as long as the rules are followed.
~~~ * ~~~
TOPIC:
For the second one, I want poems about FAERIES (or Fairies).
*Keep in mind, not ALL have to be dark...and if the poem is BASED OR INSPIRED off a book, movie or other work, PLEASE note it in the Authors comments*
~~~ * ~~~
Guidelines:
1) nO StIcKy CaPs or ALL CAPS
2) No bashing other poems, people or religion/beliefs (Automatic DQ) (I prefer that you critique the other entries, its nice. But don't think its going to get you any closer to winning)
3) NO erotica, or anything of that nature. If I think it is, automatic DQ. Passion, though, is fine
4) Emotion, please! Or, at least, use the sense, or tasteful imagry.
5) Grammar!!! Please spell and such correctly.
6) Cussing is allowed, but keep it minimum and tasteful
7) Please, only poems in ENGLISH...unless tis translated.
8) Don't like my rules, leave.
9) The entry MUST be a poem, any form, though I prefer rhyme. Prewrites ARE accepted, as long as they are on topic!!!! I also am now requesting poems that dont have a bunch of Trophies...its only fair.
10) Post
( : f w/o the spaces) in your Author's Comment Box, so i know you've read and understand the rules. I WILL DQ YOU IF YOU DONT!!!!!!!!!!!! Or, I will simply just not comment on your entry, and may or may not give you a shot at the trophies.
~~~ * ~~~
Any comments, suggestions, or questions, feel free to IM me...
NOTE: I dont mean to OFFEND anyone, so if somehow the contest content, topic, or pic bother you, IM ME IMMEDIATLY, so we may work it out...thank you.
I'll be commenting on every entry, if I can, so you have been warned...though I DO reserve the right to DQ, or not comment on any I please (if it comes to that, you may IM me for justification, but I doubt it will come to it, but this is a precaution).
2nd and third will be added at my pleasure. I might even add HMs.
Good luck!
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on December 6, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300
- Final notes: I feel like a little kid again! Such intrigue and inspiration in Classic familiars
I apologize, but do to lack of entries, I've only decided to award a Gold, this time.
Congratulations to our winner, "She Spins a Dew-laced Serenade"!
It was wonderful, and I again thank you all for participating. I understand that the didn't work for most of you, so I commented on everyone's, which, I hope, was helpful (let me know if there's any questions).
Hopefully I will see you all in future rounds, or other contests of mine, which, I'll go ahead and say, my next will be tomorrow, but will not be part of this series. If you'd like a notification of the next one of the series, let me know.
There was once a kingdom of fairy kings and queens, they had many workers and very cool machines, the kingdom was sensational and you could not deny that every fairy there was very glad to fly.
