~Michael Israel~

  VIDEO INSPIRED: BY ~MICHAEL ISRAEL~

This is a dedication contest in honor of an artist who has moved me in so many ways...
As poets we adore art of any kind, but what this man creates is simply amazing...
I came across a video on Youtube and was so moved by the image that was created by ~Michael Israel~ that I decided to host a contest in his honor...

I tried to write something that would compliment the vision of this man and the brilliant work that he creates on stage....
I could not find the words... :(
So the challenge! My dear poets, for you to do for me what I could not...

Rules: argg do I really need to tell you..?

Im cleaning out my piggy point bank for this...lol

I may add more points , depending on what I can earn with a simple smile...

Special thanks to JohnnyD and Poeticweaver for the additional points in this contest

 much love...

But I can not wait to see the amazing poetry that will come from this...smiles

His vision is rising in 2008

I am without words at the moment.

I was moved beyond words after watching that clip. It is so nice to see an artist work with such passion. Michael Israel's art brings so much honor to our country. I have such a deep admiration for heroes. Michael Israel is a hero, in my humble opinion. His work shows us that it's okay to be proud, and it's okay to defend what we believe in. Heroes honor us with every breath they take. Seeing this video reminds me of September 10, 2001. My family and I went to a Jodi Messina concert at a local fair in Washington State.

The opening number before Jodi came out on stage was the song God Bless America. A local singer's words echoed across the park so beautifully. In a way, it was eerily prophetic, because the very next morning, our nation fell under attack. On the way to work the morning of 9/11, I saw so many heroes waving the American flag at every intersection. That made me proud to be an American, to feel just a little "united" during a time when our nation was so vulnerable.

As horrible as 9/11 was for so many, and continues to touch the hearts of all of us, the heroes helped to bring our nation together. Those weren't just the heroes who valiantly ascended the steps of the WTC, or the ones who put aside cultural differences to help the ones beside them, or even the heroes who charged into the cockpit of United Flight 93. All of them, without a doubt, are heroes, but so many more heroes have brought honor to all of us since then, and they have proudly stood up.... united. Don Winslow

Now I am without words... This is such a beautiful comment.
I do not believe that I could have said it any better..smiles
I think alot about the crew of flight 93, Mostly I think of the children who lost a parent that day..and the days that followed...
Thank you so much for sharing such passionate thoughts...
      Peace and many blessings

NeoJingo Fox babble - hear the clear Lingo

2007 International Spelling Bee Final two words - QUAGMIRE & IMPEACHMENT

What Americans think, feel, vote, and say has zero bite.
When a million votes can be stolen, accountability? - Oh so slight!
Only Radical RepubliCons can tell us how to waste our might ---
Just where, when, and why we must start a fight.
Choose Iraq with 30 years oil reserve still in sight.
Must control it - keep it flowing into OUR gas tanks, right?
    Exxon-Mobil, BP, Shell – profit$ picture $ure look$ bright!
Use unrelated threats to fan the flames to such great height.
You know - 9/11, or a mushroom cloud type of fright.

Dropped: TwinTowers - then with balled-up flags to plug our ears,
How well the shredded Constitution wipes away faked tears.
Patriot Act: panic attack – yes, we’ll waive our rights to calm our fears…
No draft, just fill the planes with c-notes, a private war - three cheers!
Fat cats, well fed by exce$$ corporate greed – now six straight years.
Say what, a change of plan to end war profits? Sharpen up the spears!
Another traitor must be skewered, trot out the NeoCon-tradicting seers.
From Limpbowel, O’Rlie-to-me, and their ilk, we start to hear the jeers.
Some freshly think-tank-framed simplistic verbal smears.

Sad sight, so many flags draped over coffins never seen.
The sinister lies that filled them neatly hidden behind a patriotic sheen.
Human losses well disguised, and media filtered from our collective eyes,
By corporate puppet leaders, whose agendas we must now despise.

Pity the Iraqi families, alone with blood, pain, death, despair,
As pompous jingo windbags fill the U.S. propaganda-polluted air,
Can spews of false praise glory, hide true neglect in veteran care?
    Fox Snooze hype NOT, as your heroes, our loved ones lost;
Their blood for oil - spent badly – much too high this cost.
Keith Rupert Murderdoch, the boss who must be tossed!

Long past his “mission accomplished” date in years now more than four,
One so delusional Decider is still not looking for an exit door.
An occupation, one aggressor means there never was a war.
The stench, the smell - corruption, failures everywhere,
Yet all we hear is that which plays upon our deepest fear.
A drone of platitudes preached to stretch our stay another year.

“The job is almost done! “
“Must keep them Terrorists on the run!”
“We can't abandon this war until it's won.”
“Another 30,000 surge, so send us your brave sons.”
“A trillion dollar debt, their kids will pay these no small sums!”
"Waterboarding works. You call it torture? You're just chums"

NO NO NO! Time true Patriots stand and shout “Impeach these Bums!”

Lean hard on leaders, like Lieberman, to not just lose their parties,
But to find the Republic again, while we still have one!
Target the REAL Axis of Evil => IMPEACH Cheney-Bush!
Perhaps small justice, but at least some!
