I am giving you a chance to write about anything in your life. This can be love, hate, pain, sorrow, marriage, divorce, a new child, brothers, sisters, defeats, encouragements, teenage issues, abuse, reality, anything under the sun that somehow impacts your life.
This is just my example. I wrote this about telling your lover goodbye after they have cheated, and hurt you so bad. It is hard, especially if you really love someone, to just let go!
Telling you goodbye
Beneath an old stack of news papers,
Lay a puddle of tears,
A torn sheet of paper with a thousand i love yous,
2 dozen poems,
A Shattered lipstick,
A smudge on the phonebook,
A broken glass,
And a broken heart...
Where did you wander off to?
And why did it have to be with her?
I should have known better,
Eveyone said that this was the truth,
But I just couldnt believe,
The hurtful things people were saying,
All I could do was foolishly love you.
I want to fly up into the galaxy,
Far off in outerspace,
Jump rope on the moon,
And forget I ever saw your face,
But now it's too late.
I think to night I will drive out to the ocean,
Take a dive,
Swim next to the dolphin with injured eyes,
Be blind to the pain I'm feeling inside,
Let go of you,
Let go of you tonight.
I wish that I was blind,
That I never could have seen your gorgeous face,
I wish that I was deaf,
That I could never have heard your beautiful voice,
I wish that I was smart,
So I never would have heard your lies,
But some reason I am still here,
Wishing to be by your side.

Turned to 102.9,
Underneath the folder,
Covered in yellow signs,
I have written you a letter,
Telling you goodbye.

The last contest that I did everyone did prewritten poems, and they entered poems that they had entered in other contests. I didnt like it because they were not original, and even some of the poems didnt fit into my category.
If you'd like you can submit a poem from yourself, just try to let it be your original work, a peice you havent entered before, please?

I see you have now opened the competition to prewritten poems. Excellent! But I do not quite understand the proviso about such entries not being entered for other competitions. Do you mean that they must not have been entered in any competitions ever - or simply that they must not be in another competition at the present time?
