Dark Take on Fairy Stories

Read carefully, I don't want to have to comment on entries that are not what I am looking for ...

You have two options here:
OPTION 1
A take on a traditional story but it should not be suitable for children. Most fairy stories were originally very dark but were sanitised in the Victorian era.
Give me the olden day fairy tale - no niceties!

OPTION 2
A dark take on fairy stories
Anything about fairies as long as it's from a dark perspective

If you REALLY want to impress me, combine the two and the points will definitely go way up!

1. Don't make it too long - my attention span is short
2. SPELLING AND GRAMMAR DO COUNT - don't make me have to point out your spelling errors!
3. Be original - try to think outside the box, if you can't then maybe you shouldn't enter here ~shrug~
4. MAKE ME THINK - teach me about dark fairy tales or tales of dark fairies

I will comment if I feel your entry deserves a comment and my comments are usually honest and to the point, so I apologize beforehand for hurting anybody's feelings

If the entries are good enough I will add points and maybe silver, bronze and HM's

I don't care if I know who you are or not, it's immaterial to me - if your writing impresses me I couldn't care less whether you are on my favourites list or not!

If I don't have enough entries I will cancel this contest

    Gold did EXACTLY what I was looking for - congrats on the gold and the exceptional read
    Silver had to get silver as I loved the read - well done on the silver and the fantastic flow of your poem
    To the others who entered, thank you for your entries ... if I didn't comment it's because I take the time to read your write and yet the spell check apparently doesn't work on a few computers ~shrug~

    Nice to see someone who understands faeries aren't the "cute little girls with wings" that we tend to market them as. They are nasty buggers with a penchant for chaos and mayhem.
