Oh, I love that song! I will hear it all night, now that the rain has finally stopped!

My friend has an entry in this contest and she knows I love the Rain. I might have to do my first Haiku for the subject alone. Please be gentle with me if I can somehow write one. I don't expect mine to be high quality or even able to compete, but I love the Rain. Good luck everyone. Did I say I love the Rain(lol)!

I commented on every entry that has entered at this point. Some I have given some constructive criticism based on the knowledge of the 5-7-5 syllable pattern. I have found out that use to be the norm and isn't any more. So please forgive me if you received this critique from me. Like I said I'm not an expert as I did my first two for this contest. Someone passed to my IMs what I just said about the 5-7-5 and I went with it. Good luck to everyone in this Rain Haiku Contest!

Thank you for reading and commenting on the entries, I am glad you like rainy days too.

My rules for contests say 17 syllables or less, it is about a 50-50 split here at AP what constitutes a haiku. Those who know me, know I will look for concise images, usually present in modern forms. But this is a contest, and not a workshop-so I like every single entry.

I didn't know what you meant by the workshop comment and now I do(lol). Like I said, your contest where I did my first Haikus. I would never have done it, but you touched on a subject near and dear to my heart; RAIN!
