The Book Of Shadows/Magick

Hello, I've been messing around with paganism a lil bit lately and am wondering if someone can come up with a good spell I can put into my Magickal Book of Shadows.

I'm new to witchcraft so I'm not particularly sure of what kind of things to put into my book. Whether spells, recipes, rituals, terminology...whatever it is that the pagans and witches of this site put into their books or would, that's what I would like to read.

I have already gotten it started and have written some ceremonies that I haven't exactly acted out yet. But I'm curious what other people would come up with. The pieces you enter would be to give me inspiration and help me out with writing my book of shadows.

Most of the stuff I'm putting into my book revolves around magickal healing, ceremonies, working with the elements, candles and crystals, and other stuff.

Members of my group Moon Circle! are especially invited to participate in this contest.

If I get a lot of good entries then I will definately raise the points higher.

I want good quality entries. They can be in any form. They can be in any form as long as they are dedicated to a Wiccan/Witch's Book of Spells...or I'm going to broaden this and just say any book that would have magickal stuff in it. Stuff that relates to the paranormal, supernatural, and magickal. It can be related to summoning a demon or a ghost, it can be related to divination, it can be related to angel magick and nature magick. So really, it's wide open.

This is just for inspiration and to help me craft my book. So if you are willing to help me craft a really good book of shadows, then this is the contest for you.

It's sort of in the spirit of Halloween.

Possible Contents of the Book:

-Nature Magick
-Spells
-Tools
-Summoning
-Divination
-Scrying
-White Magick
-Evoking
-Pagan Holidays
-Magician's Rituals
-Anything you can think of
-A rede
-Goddess/God
-Angels
-Prayers

You can even enter me some instructions on how to work out the book if you want.

If you enter this contest you will also get to get inspiration from other entries.

The golden trophy winner goes to the best contents that I could incorporate into my book.

I espeically hope to see some entries from the pagans and wiccans of this site and of course
anyone who's interested

I'm letting there be dark entries because this is all for fun and for intruige so if there is something dark you want to enter then it is perfectly accepted.

I hope this is clear. If you have any questions about the contest then feel free to ask me.

Rules:
-No sticky caps
-No Suicide, Self Harm
-Must relate to the theme

But Pagans don't practice Witchcraft only some.
    Wouldn't that be more Wiccan?
I want to enter but I would love to write about nature and the beauty of it, I know Pagan's love everything about the earth and believe that every living thing has a soul.
Is it okay to write about that?

This is open to all practices. I would be happy to have an entry focused around paganism. Some pagans practice witchcraft and some practice wicca. I would really love an entry with your idea of earth and nature having a soul. I'm more into the Nature Magick aspect of Paganism myself, i'm just trying to be broad.

well, you don't have to be practicing magick to enter the contest. Any ideas, even if they are made up are cool. You could write your own spell. You could write something about a ghost encounter. LOL. I'm just trying to get inspired. I'm not necessarily going to use the actual material in my book, I'm just looking for inspiring pieces.

look up on Candle Magick. It's a Wiccan art but not only Wiccan as almost every religion uses candels. The trick to Candles is knowing what each color represents. It is also not a form of casting "spells" but more associated with prayer and karma I suppose. I always have my candles lit for protection and good karma. Remember, "an it harm none, do as thou will"
