- Final notes: I loved every single entry and was so happy that all of you entered. To me you are all winners, but as we know I have to pick three. I Picked my gold winner because it was very upbeat and playful and made me smile right away. I loved the fact this person used the icon things in the poem, gave it such a happy feel for me. I picked my silver winner because it sounded like something I would do for any of you, I would try to sew you all back up and fix you if you ever needed me too. A real heartfelt loving friend would do that. I picked my bronze winner because I have a huge weakness for flowers!!! Nature and flowers always make me smile and feel healed and whole, as I think many of you can relate. Hun I am speechless beyond imagination. Thank you dearly for your friendship. Cancer has hit my soul hard actually as : many yrs ago I lost a close uncle to stomach/esophagus cancer; my late mother in law 4 yrs ago (it was in her brain and lungs after having been in remission from uterine cancer almost 17 yrs); my son's biological father died 2 days b4 my mom 4 yrs ago (2 weeks b4 my in law) of liver cancer; I have a friend who is slowly losing her battle to stomach cancer and she has 3 small children, a dear school bus driver friend of mine's sister is losing her battle and he quit his job to move to help raise her son; and one of my own 4 yr old students right now is going thru radiation for the second time for her brain cancer. I am truly blessed by love in so many forms. thank you my dear friend thruough and through
