In The Company Of Compassion

I won a PIF by endeavor http://allpoetry.com/contest/2372388

Thus, in this contest, let us move from forgiveness to companionship…..

Not a stretch for relationships are difficult as anything in this world we live in today… we are behooved to accept reality, not evoke more fantasy…none are perfect… a body bends, a mind meanders, muscles mean well but loosen, ears lose their ability to deny that we truly did not hear, we lose our hair – learn to curl thin hanks, we wrinkle and worry more about it… but yet, we love….

How do we get from Barby, to Pairs Hilton, to holding a beloved natty old green sweater that means more to us than any plucked, pulsed, plasticisized, six packed air-headed amour?

free verse, closes at midnight

Winner please pay forward 300 points.

I have to say this makes me smile. I am only 28 which most say is young, yet I feel so old. I remember being sixteen and so into my makeup, hair, and the boy next door. Now I am happily married, with four children, and that darn green sweater...lol. It was only twelve years ago, but so much of me has changed in that twelve years...nice idea for a contest.
