Blank Cheque

(If you're in love, my other contest has fewer entries, .: greater odds of winning).

You have a blank cheque for this one.

Give me something you actually want to be read.

Any genre, any style, any length. The controversial, edgy, underground and/or erotic is as welcome as the politically correct and/or conservative.

How-ever, the poem I like the best wins - and there's a good chance your treasure could be my trash.

I reserve the right to remove poems at random.

Some great poetry will be removed without explanation; I just might not be in the mood for your masterpiece.

I'm only allowing one write per person, so try and view removal as a second chance to enter something else.

Wether or not I have commented on your work after viewing does not increase or decrease the odds you'll win.

If I think I'm going to remember a poem anyway, I'm sometimes too lazy or forget to add you as a finalist. Sometimes I use the "short list" as more of a "I need to remember to read this again list".

Cheers,
=> Jess

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on November 1, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 177, Bronze: 100
  • Final notes:
    This contest was ridiculously hard to judge. The final running wasn't even just within the finalists, so well done to everyone.

    I have to be honest and say with another contest, exams and 85 of you on the go I can't guarantee all of you comments - but when I do have time to go through and comment poetry I'll be coming back here first.

    I'm going to have to be more closed ended with my next contest, I think .
