NOTICE!!!  In need of at least ( 2 ) dependable Judges who can donate at least ( 20-25 ) hours of their time a month to help Judge the POD ~

 

 

Also needing Judges for the POW & the POM!

 

 

Please IM me asap if you think you can be fair, honest and unbias ~

 

 

There are only ( 15 ) spots avilable for the POW ~

 

 

If your poem does not meet the POW criteria, it will be DQ'd without notice to the Poet!

 

 

If you are a Friend, and your poem gets DQ'd,

I hope we can still be Friends,

...as this is a Poetry contest,

not a Partiality contest ~

 

 

Please take your time, and be sure to read the message about Pre-Writes, 11 lines down ~

 

 

The *POD* is 300 points for Gold, plus ( 3 ) HM's ~

 

The *POW* is 500 points for Gold, plus ( 3 ) HM's ~

 

The *POM* is 700 points for Gold, plus ( 3 ) HM's,

plus a ( 3 ) month Silver Membership ~

 

The *POY* = Poem of the Year, will receive a significant Award of Points, and of course, YOU, will hold sole Title of, ~ Poet of the Year ~, plus,

a ( 6 ) month Gold membership ~

 

So, for this POW, I would like for you to show me your best FRESH poem ~

 

Pre-writes are NOT welcomed this time ~

 

I will be looking at FRESH Poetry written specifically for this contest!

 

25 lines or less!

 

RULES!!

 

Grammar & Spell Check A MUST!

 

If I, or the Collaborating Judges miss a grammatical mistake, then good for you!

 

If we catch it, it will be held against your entry ~

 

UNCOMMON THEMES!!

 

I want GOOD Poetry!

 

Anything goes!

 

EXCEPT.....26 lines or more, massive cursing, perverted stuff, or HARD Erotica ~

 

Young Poets will have access to this contest ~

 

If we feel the need to DQ your entry, please do not be harsh with us, as we are only finding your entry to not fit the criteria to be POM ~

 

I want to be inspired by something UNCOMMON!!

This is no longer an Anonymous contest, so, if you have any questions, please ask ~

ALSO.....watch out for the *Religious* tone in your writes......I am a God-Fearin Man, but Religious tones can become quite *Common* as well ~

 

This is NOT to be-little my Faith, or your attempt to write about yours, it is just a warning that ( UNCOMMON ) Themes are what I enjoy most!

 

Also....if you submit a Poem of *Form*, pleeeez use this syllable counter..>>>

These contests have become so popular, that I have found myself out of personal time, therefore, needing collaborating Judges ~

 

The POW is now opened sooner as well, but the first 20 spots get a chance at being the POM!!

Great news from Kevin, the owner of Allpoetry ~

He is in support of this *Sequence of Contests*, and is granting Silver & Gold Memberships to be received from the best POM's & the best POY's ~

These are a ( 3 ) month Silver for the POM's....and a ( 6 ) month Gold Membership for the POY, so how cool is that? ~

Also........the POM & of course the Poem of the Year, the POY, will be displayed on the Front Page of AP ~

.....however....this will NOT take place until Kevin and I have worked out further details ~

We are hopefully going to be creating different colored Trophys for the POM & the POY ~

This is Very exciting news for us all!!

I am proud to say, that I am sole holder of the POD, POW, POM & the POY Contests ~

 
You should all be proud to be a part of history in the making as AP takes on another milestone in its' history of bringing Poets together ~

Finally, remember one thing....I am Proud of all of you for striving to be the best you can be, and for not giving up, even when I say ...no, or, I'm sorry....or even when I make my own simple mistakes ~

I want good Poetry that will make me want to read it and think.....wow.....that's deep!

    Ok.....to say this was a bit difficult, is an understatement ~

    I am VERY pleased with your talents.....however.....I am not able to sit and spell check for you...re-count syllables for you....tell you that your write needs more depth....tell you that we think your poem is a story and doesn't fit in a poetic tone....advise you to use puntuation....or even to tell you to place the POD or POW in your Authors' Notes ~

    We will though, be highlighting your qualities from here on out.....too many errors and it goes *bye, bye* ~

    Beginning tomorrow, the POD will only keep a Poem if it is worthy of high praise and recognition of being the Poem of the Day ~

    If you enter....and it gets DQ'd.....that's it....no whinning...no crying....no argueing....no complaining to Kevin.....no talking about us behind our backs.....none of the childish stuff some Poets will do when they're DQ'd ~

    If this was Your contest, and you felt a poem was *out of place*...then trust me....you'd DQ it so another Poet could get in and possibly have a chance at winning ~

    If this upsets anyone....I'm sorry you have taken offense to it ~

    I just spent 7 hours Judging this contest....and your new Judge Trista, has done the same thing....as you can see in her personal IM to me...>>>

    ....now you can see what we go through to entertain you and do our best to Judge fairly ~

    I......we.....look forward to your entries....but it is just too much on us to have to pin point every single item which YOU, should have caught ~

    OK....I am impresed....but a bit disappointed in some ~

    The Gold....an amazing write with just the right stuff to score well ~

    The Silver and Bronze were separated by .1 of a point!!

    The HM's ( ARE ) in order!!

    You can see tristas' score....and mine, of course, is on your page ~

    There was an average taken, and this is the way you faired!

    I have had a request by Roaddog to help Judge.....yet after he sees this, he may not want to.. ..but he will definately be considered ~
