Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto
.
.
This was one of the sites that was considered for The Seven New Wonders of the World. It is one of the greatest cultural heritage sites in the world, and deserves recognition for it's beauty and serenity. Kiyomizu means pure water, clear water or limpid water. And this is a place of wonderful beauty.

Ea and Hoodoolover are collecting poems inspired by these wonders of the world, and some might be included in their volume. I will judge the entries just like a regular contest, but have listed ea as a co-judge for her input. Those she would like to include in their collection, she will definitely notify! Check out her current contest on the Great Wall of China:

Thank you so much for running this, azure.

i wish haiku and tanka were more readily acceptable here.. part of the problem i think is so much bad haiku/tanka is 'acceptable' - due to ignorance of the form, and lack of willingness to learn ... such contests, as this, are great ... i read with interest ... good luck with it ... sincerely >>> Gina
