I just love alliteration. You can use it in so many ways. It can make a poem lazy luxurious, and lovely or it can cause quick controlled chaos. It can really ram reality at you or softly suggest a sunset song. Or you can really get complicated and Try to light the fire with vocalic-alliteration. I tend to prefer the consonantal alliteration, but you may attempt either. I would like poems that use this device, but not overuse. In the spirit of perhaps progressing your perspective and creating community connections please comment on at least one other poem in the contest, and once done include the name of the poem you commented on in your author note box. I am not overly concerned with keeping this anonymous; I just don't have the option of checking that box. HMs maybe added at a later date.
Rules:
in your author note box include this:
"consciously consult your cranium."

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 14, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 300, Bronze: 100, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: Thank you all for entering. Once again I found this contest extremely hard to judge. There is such talent here that I feel torn, debating fiercely with myself as I drag and reorder. Thank you all again for making this such a wonderful contest.

Haha my friends and I have a very long ongoing joke about alliteration. Half the time all of our words start with "C" whether they're meant to or not. I'll try to find time to enter. Great idea.
