Steve Webel's Great Wall of China
Research the landmark that can be seen from space and which is so full of poetry, parts of it had to be built during the Song Dynasty!
Go in any direction you want to with this, any style, any length. (Long would be good.)
Check out Spammer!'s photo of The Great Wall at the crack of dawn. He says he had to sleep on the wall and get up at 5 am to take the picture. Put yourself in his shoes for the poem.

thank you, Margaret. My husband is in China now and I told him he ought to go up there and get a shot for us to use! He took one of my favorite photos (of Germany, of course)that appears in the collection I did with buzznet photographers last year.
