Free Fall

I won Muffin Tree's PIF last night, and i am pleased to host this contest.

I request the Gold Winner to consider hostng a similar contest, depending upon time and interest.

Autumn is in the air and the wonderful feeling of change in the air, colors, cool nights... all of the things we notice.  The theme here is a free choice of the things that make autumn special or noticeable to you. It can be what you see, do, places one goes, people, memories, apple cider... anything.

    • My choices for the awards are as follows:

    • Autumn's Beautiful Ache – Gold Cup Winner
because in a few remarkable well chosen words, covered the senses and sights of autumn with admiration and humility before the spirit of nature.

    • Melting Wish For Ground To Ponder – Silver Cup Winner
very creative here a sort of personification and wonderful extended metaphors to the falling leaves and changes of autumn, some deeper thoughts and imagery here, very well done.

    • the fall – Bronze award winner
sentiment and emotion here autumn as a metaphor to the resignation to changes in life; we never have them back once they have gone, so very true and tenderly done here.

    • Lay Me Down Moon – Emerald award winner
harvest moon, occults of moon, this poem is slightly dark, or dramatic and has quite the use of mood imagery. Very skillful write and the moon may never recover.

    • Autumn Breezes – Emerald Award Winner
    • home is where the hearth and wonderful aromas and seasonal foods and drinls all make up an annual feeling of well being and happiness.

Again my thanks to all who entered, and until my next PIF contest tomorrow or Friday, please be safe and well…PK
