Here is a picture of My friend Kandi and I. We have always been close. In high school she gave me my infamous nickname Peanut Butter and in return, I nicknamed her Jelly... cute huh? *giggle*
THIS CONTEST IS ABOUT HELPING HER! I need a poem from you encouraging her to hang on to life, to hope. I recieved a suicide letter from her on myspace and she's been down the past two weeks.
Here are the rules:
1. NO BASHING SUICIDE --- Trust me I have been there myself and bashing me for my thoughts just make it worse.
2. PRE WRITES --- I want fresh masterpieces ;) BUT if it really pertains to the contest and its REALLY GOOD and it follows rule number three than I'll allow it :)
3. MINIMUM OF 5 LINES AND A MAX OF 36 LINES --- Not too short, not too long :)
4. You may USE MY PICTURE that I have placed here, but for the PURPOSE of this contest!!!
5. NO STICKY TAPS!!! I will not tolerate em.
6. The more POSITIVE your poem is, the better chances you have of winning :f
7. HAVE FUN!!!

For your friend.
I would have entered the poem in this contest (I wrote it for MY best friend, after all!), but it's a PW. Anyway, if you think it will help her, I would be happy if you read it to her( completely off the contest topic)...it definately made my best mate feel better when she was crying
http://allpoetry.com/poem/2665748 (it's called "Faith in you" ) -
sorry
I doubt my poem is any good but i just feel that your friend needs help and will do whatever I can to help her.
A friend of mine killed himself and it still hurts like hell. Not only do I wish I got to know him better and treat him fairer but he was a kid that had so much talent and so much joy and so much to live for.
To your friend....I know this may seem like a dark time....I know that feeling all to well but however I promise you that the path you are chosing is not the right one becuase it may seem bleak now but I promise it will get better. It may not seem like it but its true....I swear to you it is true.
Please reconsider your descision. If you truly do feel you have nothing to live for then look towards your friend. At the minimum she's worth not going down such a dark path. She cares for you so much and is willing to do whatever it takes to keep you with her.
I encourage you to hang on even in the darkest of times becuase it may be worth it in the long run. I don't know whats wrong and maybe its nothing that I have ever experienced....but I am a firm beleiver in everything working out for the best. I promise you it will so please keep strong. -
I hope Kandi is feeling better...
Hi SaraDawn
I just now saw your contest for Kandi. I remember your saying one of your nicknames is Peanut Butter and, yes, it is cute you call her Jelly. That is a good analogy of a really close friendship and reminds me of my childhood friends. That's GREAT y'all are keeping in touch after graduating. Hugs to you both.
