I am looking for short stories on ANY subject.
I will be allowing pre-writes because a good short story is hard to come by these days. However, I must say...
I prefer fresh, new ideas and it will affect my judging.
Erotica IS allowed. Be as graphic as you like,
BUT make it tasteful and relevant.
DETAIL and DESCRIPTION make a world of difference
when you are telling a story.
Make your story as long or as short as you like.
You know the rules, I see no reason to repeat them.
Use common sense.
If you have any questions as to what is allowed msg me.
I have no problem DQing you if you cannot obey the rules.
The possibilities are endless.
Open your eyes, ears and mind and you'll discover that short story ideas are everywhere.
**For those who absolutely have no inspiration,
here are a few options**... (just make sure you let me know what you are doing.)
1)The theme of this story: psychological slice-of-life. The main character: youthful martial artist. The start of the story: premonition. The end of the story: tragedy.
2)The theme of this story: serious revenge. The main characters: lonely artificial intelligence and narrow-minded merchant. The start of the story: wedding. The end of the story: keepsake.
3)The theme of this story: wacky drama. The main character: obscure miner. The major event of the story: addiction.
4)The story is about a prince, an intelligent peasant, and a bodyguard who is obsessed with a mobster. It takes place in a town on a post-apocalyptic planet. The story ends with a slip of the tongue. The destruction of a magical artifact plays an important role.
5)The story is about paladins. It starts in a guard tower in a war-torn commonwealth. The story begins with a compromise, climaxes with an engagement, and ends with a confession.
6)The theme of this story: surreal horror. The main character: experienced murderer. The major event of the story: temptation.
IF NONE OF THESE APPEAL TO YOU, THAT'S FINE.
SWITCH THEM UP, MAKE THEM YOUR OWN. THEY ARE ONLY IDEAS!!!
I am also posting a picture...
you may even wish to write a short story about the picture. Again...just let me know what you are doing.
Best of Luck...
