Dark like my soul

Haven't had a contest in a while, so hows bout you guys all write me some dark poetry?
Sounds good.

Okay, gonna throw a few rules at you:
-No sticky caps (everyone always says that, does anyone really submit poetry written in sticky caps?)
-try to aviod free verse. I said AVIOD. If you do use free verse, it better be damn good.
-Umm... be origanal.
-Only one entry each; no prewrites (If I said prewrites were aloud, I'd get too many entries, sorry)
-swear all you want, just try to use real words in between your cursing (in other words don't go over board)
-no erotica or adult content I don't care who you're doing... and since I'm under some age, allpoetry won't let me view it.
-Write poetry, if I wanted short stories, I'd ask for short stories... However, if you write me a short story in the form of a poem, I will love you forever.
-emotion. I want emotion. I don't want "and then I killed her the end" that's boring.
-I like rhyming. If you read this far, you probably deserve to know that.
-Make it as gorey as you want. Blood, guts, small children's brains for supper; it all sounds good to me.

    I don't rhyme. I've created nightmares attempting it. lol. I would like to give it a shot again though. I'm going to see what I can come up with. *bookmarks*

    Hahaha... Your contest kinda stuck out to me because of the title... Dark like my soul. About two years ago my husband and I were out with his mother. And she was wearing this yellow, flowery shirt... and someone complimented on it saying that she was as happy and sunshiney as her shirt. And my husband and I looked at each other and without missing a beat he said, "Mine's black like my soul." And that's what this reminded me of! That's great. Well I hope you had a great contest.

    Well, I'm glad I entered, even though I didn't win. I pushed myself to write a poem I would never have attempted otherwise, and it got some good reviews from people. So...I thank you for putting up this contest. Maybe next time...
