The breaking of dawn and the coming of dusk are two of the most beautiful parts of my day. Specially cause one or both almost always viewed through the windshield of a big rig.
So in an effort to divest myself of some points, I want to hear your thoughts on one, or both. I want imagery, words fresh from the artist's brush so to speak.
Feel free to use any pics with your poems you desire. My accompanying image is from one of my own poems. It does not have to be a source of inspiration.
Usual rules apply:
Limited profanity
No Sticky Caps
Etc......
If I have an objection we'll discuss it before I consider DQ'ing you. If you can make me see the creative need for whatever we'll leave it. If not change it, or you and the poem are smooth out of luck! I'll have to disqualify you.
I look forward to reading and commenting on some wonderful poems. Creative Writing and Good Luck!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 9, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 250, Bronze: 125
- Final notes: I appreciate all the enteries. The judging was very difficult. I have read and taken time to reflect prior to entering comments several days later.
The quality of the poems overall was unbelievable, for me this was only my 2nd contest. I am most grateful for everyone's time and effort.
May your Sunrises and Sunsets be equally beautiful and inspiring as you greet each occurance in life.
Continued Success to each in your individual poetry writing.
