This is going to be the first contest I've run, so I hope to get to see some new poet's out of this. I've read quite a few wonderful writers here and hopefully this will further that experience.
I have points which are better to give than receive. Hopefully this picture I took will inspire something a little different. Not really sure where it will take you.
The rules (yes, the rules):
1) Profanity is okay, but use sparingly if necessary
2) No erotica, just really not my thing unless it is done in veiled references
3) No chat lingo, ThIs KInD oF stUfF
4) Have fun with it...
5) Rhyme or no rhyme, no matter... I've written both
6) Less than 40 lines please, if you can't say it in less than that, then I really don't need to hear it
7) Feel free to reserve, but please come back and write something

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on September 2, 2007
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: This contest was great for my first, and I appreciate the entries of all the participants. It was so tough to narrow down the finalists and then to decide on winners, that I had to give to HM's as well. Each of these offerings deserve more than I have to give, and I thank you all for your participation.
