Arati's Contest: Come check it out

Hey everyone. I'm planning to start a series of contests. They will address heritage. This contest is a first of the series. Everyone can submit, for it doesn't have to match your heritage. The prompt will be a heritage, and I'll be looking for a poem relating to that heritage. I hope I have a lot of entries for this. Come and give it a try.

Prompt: American (south,north,native)

Rules
1. No bashing/prejudicial/racism stuff: It will be DQed.
2. No cursing
3. Nothing erotic
4. Poem must be at 5 lines
5. Maximum is 50 unless it's good

I am allowing pre-writes. Have fun with this contest. I can't wait to read your poems! I'm looking forward to it :!
