    Umm,

I guess you mean that thing in the US with the airplanes. I live in Canada. My roomie showed me the newscast as I was leaving for work. Other than that it was a perfectly normal day same as it was for most people in the world. Nothing to write about here.

      Yes I am speaking of

The tragedy of the fall of the twin towers and the attack on the pentagon by airplanes. I am happy for you that you have not had to suffer such tragedy and I pray you never do. For me I live five minutes from the Pentagon and I spent the day fighting to get to my five year old daughter at the time who was in a school less than a thousand feet from the pentagon.

      God Bless

I would have thought it quite dangerous to live so near a military target like the HQ of the US war machine. I suggest (quite seriously) you seek a safer place of residence. Best wishes.

It is the complacency and lack of concern of those "not involved" which allow such a small group to terrorize those that are involved. But then, the lie is that anyone is NOT involved because we all impact each other directly and indirectly. The impatct may not be felt as soon but eventually the fallout reaches everyone. One should take heed and come to the aid of one's brother now while two can fight because if one doesn't do it then, one may be left alone to fght by oneself.

In short, don't be so distant my freind. There are many countries but only one earth.

      One Love,

      John

        On the contrary

Is is the atrocities committed by those in world trade and war that have earned the hatred of those who would give all to destroy them. To actively contribute to these atrocities is to encourage retribution on one's self. One must remain aloof and let the hatred die, not fuel it. Look at it. These people didn't attack Disneyland or Sea World. They attacked the people who were and are intent on destroying their lives. The retaliated. I really don't blame them, and I see a wave of terror coming that you can never imagine.

I do too but I recognize all the innocent people who are inbetween the problem but seem to catch the heart of the retaliation. Contrary to the popular press, Americans don't have any more control over their government than a 3rd World country does. It is run by companies. The richer the company, the bigger the influence. The ones making the unrighteous decisions aren't the ones getting killed. The twin towers was not occupied by a bunch of CEO's. They rarely come to the office. It was the peons who were there and the peons who died. Likewise, the bombing of Iraq killed more civilians than terrorist soldiers and even less leaders.

The only fair fight would be for all those companies that are running things to send their CEO's out into a ring and let them duke it out while those of us who could care less about their disgustingly large and greedy profits, could continue to do what we do best, make music, love, peace and ends meet.

          One Love,

          John

PS = but then, I am commissioned by my FATHER to love everyone regardless, So I'm a social misfit from the start anyway.

Try to have compassion for everyone my freind. That's the real challenge. Sarcastic indifference is easy.

            So true John.

And the only way to stop getting innocent people killed on both sides is to stop fighting; never mind getting last licks in; just stop and maybe when the last child who watched his family killed by thugs representing C.I.L. ExxonMobil and I.G. Farben and wearing Uniforms that bear Canadian, U.S and Australian instignia feels he's avenged them we'll have peace at last.

That was a rather callous comment, which is a shame, I didn't think people were capable of that when dealing with something of this magnitude. Good luck with your contest x

i wanted justice on that day as i was watching the tv and seen the news about the first plane hitting the tower i thought it may have been an accident at first then a few minutes later when the second one hit my thoughts came back to me , wondering if my cousins who lived in new york were alright but after they fell and i found out about a week later that i had lost 11 good friends people that i loved and cared about were gone and murdered for no reason at all and those creeps over there celebrating and burning american flags just turned my stomach , what has america done to those people for such this kind of retaliation but tried t ohelp those who are in distress , a weel later i tried to join the army but my back kept me from it but i would still have gone and died proudly for my country , for those of you who think it is some kind of joke i suppose you will just have to answer to god for it on judgement day and pay the piper , your day in hell with satan will surely come one day and when it does some of my pain will go away , those 11 friends that i lost for no reason at all were far more greater of people than those of you who just like to moch our nation and all i can say to you is your stricken with communist beliefs in your mind and heart and ifeel sorry for you and knowing that you know not god in your heart , well thats a matter of opinion to most people but one day we will receive our vengence on those responsible and i am sure that the rest of your life will be agony and misery since you live for satan anyway and one day you will get to meet him , i just wish i could be there t osee the look on your face while you are laying in your casket knowing that you are burning in hell for all of eternity and if you have it in you and want to create more kaos in amearica don't come to tennessee because we are ready for anything that comes our way and you will have a really bad day , most of all allah or what ever he is called that they think is god is dead and always will be and can not help you or save you theres only one god and his name is Jesus christ our lord and saviour

I just re-read the poem that I submitted to this contest. I am in tears. I created this form merely by mistake, and have used it several times on this site. It is also included in my book, due out before year's end. I am in tears in remembrance of that fatal day. It pangs my heart to know that hatred such as this exists in a world that is so advanced technologically. How is it that we can dissect the smallest particle (an atom) and cannot use that knowledge to feed the hungry, house the homeless, shed love? I cannot understand. I do know that evil abounds, and people like us (those who wish to erase the hate) must take the lead in calling for justice, and peace.

I am more than honored to have received the Gold here, I am humbled. Out of all the poems entered in this challenge you chose mine as the top poem. I am aghast. I love poetry! I love poets. We have our work cut out for us but in the end...for our children and their children, it is so worth it.

    THANK YOU!

Congratulations to all the winners here, that means EVERYONE! Keep doing what you do Little Feather. You are a blessing to this site and the human race of which we are all akin.

Much Love & Many Blessings ♥

Thank you for HM in your contest. When I came back to read the final comments left I was taken aback by the nerve of both Larry and Barry and the comments they made.
Larry, consider yourself safe up there on your holy throne in Canada but know that this could happen there too.
Barry, I don't know where you "reside" but I pray your children never see the loss and sorrow that our children have.
    Ruth
