Contest--The Global Condition

The global condition of the human race is the theme for this contest.

Ask yourself where you see the human race in 25, 50, 75, 100 years from now? Do you believe there is enough life left in the earth to continue to feed our race? How about fossel fuel and what happens to the earth as we leave an empty hole where there was once oil?

Ask yourself if you can forgive all others in your past, including yourself and how would you do that?

Also ask yourself if you can take personal responsibility for all of your actions even if they were in-actions. Because there is truth in the lyrics for "even if you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice".

Now let us step back from the very precipice of destruction and ask ourselves how we can change our own futures as the human race. Not as Americans, Europeans, Africans or Native Americans, or any immigrant to any country or any religion, no matter who or what you call your higher power, or justification for doing what you know to be wrong, drop all these false icons and face the real truth;

THE HUMAN RACE IS ALL WE ARE.

We have a choice to make. Do we gladly march into extinction as a species and take many more with us? Or do we drop the guns, the countries and the religions and forgive each other? What is so difficult about this question when it is our very ability to continue as a species and a planet to try and work into the grand scheme of things, global peace and a global conscious?

Consider this a challenge that could be more valuable to you than all the money and power on the planet.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on September 14, 2007
  • Rewards: Gold: 700, Silver: 300, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 4 people
  • Final notes:
    This contest was very difficult to judge as I saw many who poetically expressed their concern for our home, planet earth. All of you did a great job, and my selection of the winner went to those who arrived at an answer as to what they would do to change our world. They would "become the change they wished to see." Please do write on, and on and on, and I will be having more contests of this nature in the near future and hope to see those who entered this one, enter again as I enjoyed reading all of them. Keep the fire burning bright, your voices loud and clear. We CAN CHANGE THE WORLD IF ONLY ONE OF US AT A TIME.

    Blessed Be~
